Our Values

When I was younger, I had a cousin who lived in a mansion. With a pool. As I wandered the halls of my cousin’s house, I remember thinking to myself, “man, when I’m older, I want to be really rich, so I can have a mansion like this one, with a really big pool!”

When I was younger, I had a cousin who lived in a mansion. With a pool. As I wandered the halls of my cousin’s house, I remember thinking to myself, “man, when I’m older, I want to be really rich, so I can have a mansion like this one, with a really big pool!” In hindsight, I realise that whilst the house was big, it was far from being a mansion. But I was 10, so a mansion it was – (did I already mention the awesome pool?!)

Well, I finally reached the age of “older” and I’m neither really rich nor do I have a mansion. I’m married with 3 kids, 2 dogs, 1 bearded dragon and 4 fish, living by the beach, and… I’m happy. Whilst I may not be filthy rich with money, I can honestly say that I am happy and content, for I have wealth in the areas that matter – time, freedom, relationships, health and impact.

And so it is this immaterial wealth that informs the Victoria Eve. & Co. company values, for:

in good health we conceive Empowerment;
out of freedom we gain Authenticity;
through having impact we earn Integrity;
by forming relationships we build Family;
in allowing ourselves time and space we nurture our Creativity.

It is in this light that I hope to shape the culture of Victoria Eve. & Co., and already I feel privileged to have on board with me a team of strong women who share these same values.

2023 in Review – Lesson 3

2023 In Review – Lesson 2

My parents came from a country where poverty was and still is a harsh reality. So, unlike my peers, for whom food is often associated with pleasure & indulgence, for my parents, it was strictly seen as a necessity. I vividly remember being scolded for leaving even...

2023 in Review – Lesson 1

I’m not going to lie - 2023 was tough. Victoria Eve. & Co. had some highs, but there were some big lows. 60% of businesses fail in the first 3 years. In 2023, I thought we were going to be part of that statistic. But it’s 2024, and we are still here! Over the...

Can A Virtual Assistant Outperform An Office Worker?

Virtual assistants (or VAs) have fast become an integral part of operations for many businesses since the COVID-19 pandemic, helping companies stay afloat, transition to remote settings, and prepare contingency plans. While some businesses are starting to transition employees “back to the office,” many argue that the efficiency and effectiveness of employees are more productive working remotely than in the office.
