Living The Dream.

Oprah has her 7 steps; for Deepak Chopra, there are 8; for Rhonda Byrne, it’s THE secret. And for the Buddhists, it’s simply the law of attraction. How do you manifest anything you want for your life?

Oprah has her 7 steps; for Deepak Chopra, there are 8; for Rhonda Byrne, it’s THE secret. And for the Buddhists, it’s simply the law of attraction. How do you manifest anything you want for your life? Well, I’m not 100% sure – my expertise is in Admin and Business management – but… I can tell you this story.

This time 2 years ago, I was having a semi-“midlife” crisis. I say semi because, overall, I was happy. But at the ripe old age of 40, had I achieved everything I wanted to achieve? Well, not entirely.

So, I did the only thing I knew I could do – I put my “dream” life out to the universe.

The funny thing about the universe… when you trust the process, it listens.

This time 2 years ago, we returned from a week-long holiday, only to find ourselves facing a state-wide lockdown due to COVID. It was the very 1st lockdown, so anxiety around the unknown future was high – toilet paper stocks in supermarkets were under threat! ???? ????

In line with the call for people to work from home, my boss decided that my hours would be cut by half if I chose to work remotely. At the same time, after having made the harrowing decision weeks prior, following several failed attempts, to give IVF one final go, I received notification that IVF treatments were on hold until further notice. At this point, I wondered what the universe was doing.

Fast forward 2 years, and I’m sitting on my laptop, my 1-year-old asleep in my lap. Sure, I’m a little dishevelled after being awake half the night, but I have an amazing partner, great friends, three beautiful children, run my own VA business with my team of 4 fabulous queen bees, and teach part-time. All aspects of my life are fulfilled – and fun!

I realise now that my midlife crisis was a massive reset. I asked for my dream life and the universe delivered. Don’t get me wrong; my life ain’t perfect. Juggling a business, teaching, a baby, and just general life and family is bloody hard! There have been triumphs and constant challenges, but I have such an amazing support network around me it is almost impossible to fail.

Can A Virtual Assistant Outperform An Office Worker?

Virtual assistants (or VAs) have fast become an integral part of operations for many businesses since the COVID-19 pandemic, helping companies stay afloat, transition to remote settings, and prepare contingency plans.
